1. Who we are

Film Room AI is a hockey video analysis platform that uses AI to provide coaching feedback on player shifts. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, particularly youth athletes.

2. What we collect

  • Account information: Your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
  • Video footage: Shift videos you upload are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket. Only you can access your own videos.
  • Player information: Jersey number and team color you provide when uploading shifts.
  • AI-generated content: Analysis results, decision points, chat messages, and coaching summaries generated from your film.
  • Payment information: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • Usage data: Basic usage patterns to improve the service (e.g. number of analyses, features used).

3. How we use your data

  • To provide AI coaching analysis of your hockey shifts.
  • To store your analysis history so you can review past film sessions.
  • To process subscription payments via Stripe.
  • To improve the quality of our AI coaching model.
  • We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Video data

Videos you upload are sent to Google's Gemini API for AI analysis. Google processes the video to generate coaching feedback and does not retain it for training purposes under our API agreement. Videos are stored in our private Supabase storage and are only accessible to your account. We do not share your footage with any other parties.

5. Third-party services

  • Supabase: Database and file storage. Data is hosted on servers in their chosen region.
  • Google Gemini API: AI video analysis. Video is transmitted for processing.
  • Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
  • Vercel: Hosting and deployment infrastructure.

6. Children's privacy

Film Room AI is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account and associated data promptly.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
